How to Enter Competition
The Finalists' Films are reviewed and the winners determined by our Contest Board. Our Contest Board consists of:
1. Top names in the film industry
2. Film Festival Directors and Programmers
3. Prestigious Filmmakers
4. Film Executives
Competition Details:
Documentary or Fiction.
For competition purposes only, all films will be included in either 1 of two categories: (Documentary or Fiction). You still choose a genre for your film's general display on IFN (it can be different from your contest genre, that is fine).
Submission Requirements: What we need from you to have you be entered and eligible to participate in the Contest.
Film Requirements:
- Films must be over 20 minutes in length
- A Trailer (1-3 minutes in length) must be playable on the IFN site for Preview
Additional Requirements:
To be eligible and entered into the competition, in addition to the above Film Requirements, IFN must have from you on file:
- A signed Filmmaker Release
- A hard copy on CD of your trailer and photo images for your display
- Basic Film and Filmmaker Press Info
- One DVD or VHS copy of your film (if you are selected as a finalist, additional copies may be be requested)
How to Enter Competition
Finalists:
There will be 5 finalists named in each category. Five in documentary and five in Fiction.
Determination of these ten finalists will be done by IFN staff, advisors, contractors, volunteers, guests, and other individuals IFN requests to participate and review the contest entries.
They will determine the ten finalists based upon several methods and criterias, some or all of which may be used and/or include, reviewing trailers, reading film and press info, site visitor comments where available, and watching a movie in whole or in part.
Once the final five have been selected in each category, these final 10 films will then be distributed and watched by our Contest Board throughout September 2004. The winners will then be chosen by our Contest Board and announced by IFN in October 2004. Click here to Join Contest

Prize Winners will be announced in October 2004. Prizes awarded in NYC if filmmaker can attend or it can be awarded and announced and sent to the filmmaker.
Contest Entry and Price:
Here's info on how to submit your film and enter the competition. Follow all instructions related to uploading your film and filmmaker info, photos and trailers in the forms after you sign up to enter.

- Join IFN as either a Silver or Gold Member (Silver 1 film, Gold 2) between March 2004 and August 30, 2004
- Fill out all information
- Follow the Requirements outlined above regarding photos, trailers, releases, etc.
- When all Requirements are completed, you are entered and eligible to win
- $49 for 1 film submission and entry fee
- $89 for 2 films submissions and entry fee
You can submit as many films as you like. In addition to entry into the contest, each film submitted will be placed on and enjoy 1 year of membership on the IFN website. Use IFN to promote and market your film, keep your film in the public eye long after the film festival is over. Have your film seen by your peers, industry, distributors, film festivals, and the thousands of site visitors to IFN each month. Take advantage of other IFN member benefits such as making money by having your film available for purchase and download to those 1000's of visitors.
Submission Dates:
The contest will run and be open for submissions from March, 2004 until August 30, 2004. The deadline for admission and consideration in the Contest is August 30, 2004. Winners will be announced in October, 2004. Click here to Join Contest
IFN Reserves:
IFN Reserves the Right as per the terms of service agreement, to determine content on the IFN site. IFN may refuse admission for any films for any reasons. Films can contain no pornographic images (No Porno folks) as deemed by IFN. All materials sent to IFN will not be returned. If your film is refused for display and promotion and not accepted into the contest by IFN, for any reason whatsoever, your membership and contest entry fee will be refunded.
Some prizes may vary based upon availability at the time of contest awards. IFN shall make all best faith efforts to deliver the prizes announced above. However, IFN, may in its sole discretion substitute prizes, when necessary when an announced prize may not be available. (This applies only to prizes from outside companies, and does not affect the $2,000 prizes or any prizes involved directly with the IFN website.)
